I just woke up because Harriet sent me a text that obviously interrupted my sleep. However, I didn’t mind. It was just as amazing as when she crawled onto me, put her chin my arm and said “Good morning” when I awoke from a short nap today with her. It was such a small part of my day… but that tiny moment was so endearing for a thousand reasons. And it was bittersweet, because I knew it’s such a strong probability that I’ll never have that moment again, even though I wouldn’t mind having her say “Good morning” to me every day when I wake up… and then just cradling her in my arm as I slowly come to consciousness.
Dear you,
Tonight let’s get ahead of ourselves.
